THE DIRTY DOZEN
The Dirty Dozen will introduce students to each of the twelve disciples. Each study includes information from the Bible and church history to tell the story of each disciple in a clear, understandable way. Through sixteen character studies, our student groups will look at the personality traits of these men and uncover some lessons we can learn from their successes and failures. It explores how diverse the men in the group were and how Christ used their various gifts and personalities to change the history of the world. Throughout the study, each student will have an opportunity to identify with at least one of the disciples to discover ways Christ can use his or her gifts for His kingdom.
Student groups meet in the Multipurpose Room at 9:45am on Sundays.
This week's study is entitled "Simon the Zealot: The Unlikely Discple." The Zealots were religious and political revolutionaries. Simon, one of the Twelve, was a member of this group, somewhat like the Taliban of our day. Simon was an unlikely disciple due to some of Jesus' teachings. We'll look at what Christ taught Simon and the kind of zeal we should have today. Our Bible focus is from Romans 12:11; 10:2; and Galatians 4:18.
See you Sunday!
